Mochi Pounding Party

mochi.jpgWe are having new year tradition, Mochi Pounding Party, with cooperation by Tokyo Zaitaku Kango Kyowa Kai. Admission is 300 yen and free for kids.

* We are going to prepare mochi for 50 people
With sweet bean jam, soybean flour, sesame seeds, seaweed paper, hot spices, and vegies…
* Please bring your own chopsticks if possible!

1. Discovered Toy Films

Sometime in May 2007 Raiko Sakamoto, a Benshi performer who lives in FPS’ neighborhood, popped in to our office with a gift bag for us. What we found inside was actually… films! 10 rolls of them! He said he felt like they had accumulated out of nowhere, but for the sake of his job sometimes he got films from his audience, or got some through Internet auctions by himself. All of them were small enough to fit on the palm of my hand. (more…)
